Pet Health and Safety

Our primary concern is the health and safety of your pet. We will take every precaution to ensure their wellbeing during the grooming process. In case of an emergency or if a serious health issue is discovered, we will seek immediate veterinary care. The pet owner acknowledges that we are not liable for any conditions or problems that predate our services and agrees to be responsible for any veterinary expenses incurred as a result.

Non-Veterinary Advice

While we have extensive experience in pet care, please be aware that any health-related advice we provide is based on our personal experiences and should not replace professional veterinary advice. We strongly recommend consulting with a veterinarian for health concerns.

Disclosure of Medical Conditions

It is crucial that you inform us about any known medical conditions, lumps, bumps, or sensitivities your pet has before the grooming session to ensure their safety and comfort.

Matting and Shaving

If your pet has severely matted fur that requires shaving, please be aware that this can reveal skin conditions such as nicks, scabs, hot spots, and infections. Shaving can also cause irritation. We use gentle shampoos to soothe the skin and may suggest veterinary attention for any underlying issues discovered.

Post-Grooming Effects

The pet owner understands that grooming of matted or neglected coats may lead to discomfort, including itchiness and skin irritation. We are not responsible for these post-grooming effects, which result from the condition of the coat prior to our services.

Animal Welfare Compliance

In line with The Animal Welfare Act, we aim to detangle coats where possible. However, if detangling causes distress to your pet, we will proceed to shave the coat to ensure their comfort and wellbeing.

Right to Refuse Service

We reserve the right to refuse service to pets that pose a safety risk to our staff or themselves. In some cases, a muzzle may be used, or we may decide to discontinue grooming services for the safety of all parties involved.

Additional Costs

The pet owner agrees to cover additional costs associated with the grooming service, such as special handling for difficult pets, de-matting, flea treatment, and fees for late pickups or missed appointments. A fee will be applied for pets with flea infestations to cover the cost of fumigation.

Appointment and Late Arrival Policy

Please arrive on time for your appointment to avoid additional late fees. Clients arriving more than half an hour late may not be serviced that day and will need to reschedule.

Pick-up Policy

Please collect your pet at the agreed time. Inform us immediately if you anticipate being late. A fee may apply for late pickups beyond a reasonable grace period.

Cancellation Policy

If you need to cancel or reschedule, please notify us as soon as possible. Failure to do so without a valid reason may result in restrictions for future bookings.

Use of Pet Images

We may take photographs or videos of your pet for marketing and educational purposes without disclosing their name or personal details. These images remain our property, and we will not sell or transfer copyright without the owner’s consent.

Service Satisfaction

We offer a two-day grace period after the grooming service for any adjustments you may request, such as additional trimming. This ensures your satisfaction with our service.
